Stock moves and other changes to SAP

Moving stock between bins or warehouses, and editing a record's fields, follow the same rule as documents: a prepared change you can read, then Confirm.

Stock transfers

"Move 12 of TCB1555NEL from bin A-01 to B-04", or "move all of it to warehouse 02". The assistant reads what is in the source bin, prepares the transfer with the exact quantities, and lists anything it does not know: a missing bin, a quantity that is not there. You confirm. The right is move stock.

Other record changes

Where your administrator has listed an object as allowed, the assistant can prepare a change to one record: update fields on a customer, an item or a document, or create a new record. It looks the record up first so it knows the current values and the exact field names, shows the change, and posts it on Confirm. The right is make other SAP changes, and the allowed objects are a list your admin controls; nothing outside it can be touched.

The reason goes with it

Closing, cancelling and changing all take a reason in the person's own words. It is written into SAP's remarks, so the audit trail in SAP says why as well as who.

What is not possible

  • Payments and credit memos.
  • Deleting records.
  • Any object not on the allowed list.
  • Any write from the customer chat or the phone.
