We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you contact us, create an account, fill out forms, or interact with our Services, including your name, email address, phone number, organisation name, and any other information you choose to provide.
When you visit the Site or use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
When you sign in to or connect our Services using Google OAuth or Google APIs, we may access Google user data that you authorise through Google’s consent screen. Depending on the scopes you approve for the relevant Binary Elements application, this may include:

Binary Elements’ use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Where Google Workspace scopes are used, our use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will also adhere to the Google Workspace User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular, with respect to Google user data obtained through Google OAuth or Google APIs:
Google OAuth credentials, tokens, and Google profile information are stored securely on our systems and are not sent to third-party AI providers. Content you voluntarily submit to AI-powered draft features is handled as described in Section 6 and does not include Google OAuth authentication data.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the responsible body for the data processing that occurs via this website has their basis outside of the European Economic Area and Switzerland, then the associated Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC will hereinafter be referred to as “Google”.
Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files saved on the site visitor's computer, to help the website analyse their use of the site. The information generated by the cookie (including the truncated IP address) about the use of the website will normally be transmitted to and stored by Google.
Google Analytics is used exclusively with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” on this website. This extension ensures an anonymization of the IP address by truncation and excludes a direct personal reference. Via this extension Google truncates the site visitor's IP address within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The IP address that is provided by the site visitor's browser in using Google Analytics will not be merged by Google with other data from Google.
Google LLC offers a guarantee to maintain an adequate level of data protection on the basis of European standard contractual clauses. The data sent and linked to the Google Analytics cookies, e.g. user IDs or advertising IDs will be automatically deleted after 50 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached is carried out automatically, once a month.
The website visitor may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in their browser. When you use our AI-powered features, the content you submit (such as prompts, instructions, or reference material) may be shared with the following third-party AI providers solely for the purpose of generating content drafts that provide the user-facing feature you requested:
Your content may be sent to Anthropic PBC (https://www.anthropic.com) via the Anthropic API. Anthropic processes this data only to generate content drafts as instructed by us. Your content may be sent to OpenAI OpCo, LLC (https://openai.com) via the OpenAI API. OpenAI processes this data only to generate content drafts as instructed by us. Your content may be sent to Novita Tech Pte. Ltd. (https://novita.ai) via the Novita API. Novita processes this data only to generate content drafts as instructed by us. Novita does not use your data to train or improve their AI models. For Novita's full privacy practices, please refer to their Privacy Policy.
Data is shared with these AI providers exclusively for draft generation purposes. None of Anthropic, OpenAI, or Novita use your data to train, fine-tune, or improve their foundational AI models. Data shared with these providers is processed only to return a generated output in response to your specific request, after which it is handled in accordance with each provider's standard data retention and deletion policies (typically not retained beyond what is necessary to fulfil the API request).
We do not send any Google OAuth authentication data (credentials, tokens, or profile information) or other Google user data obtained via Google APIs to any AI provider. Authentication and Google API data are stored securely on our servers and are never shared with third parties except as expressly described in Sections 4 and 7.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, credit/lending decisions, or non-personalised AI/ML model training. Except as described above, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We retain your personal information, including Google user data, only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provide the Services you requested, maintain your account, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or as required or permitted by law. When the retention period expires for a given type of data, we delete or securely destroy it, or anonymise it so it can no longer be associated with you.
Google Analytics data is automatically deleted after 50 months. OAuth tokens are retained only while your account remains connected and are revoked or deleted when you disconnect Google, delete your account, or request deletion.
You may request deletion of your personal information, including Google user data we hold, at any time by contacting us at talk_to@binaryelements.com.au. You may also revoke our access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After we verify your request, we will delete or anonymise the relevant data within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data. We use industry-accepted encryption to protect your information in transit (for example, HTTPS/TLS) and encrypt sensitive data at rest, including OAuth access and refresh tokens and other credentials. We also apply access controls, least-privilege administrative practices, and monitoring designed to prevent unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting Google user data, we will take appropriate steps to investigate, mitigate, and notify affected users and, where required, Google and regulators.
Binary Elements is based in Australia. Your information may be processed in Australia and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections consistent with applicable privacy laws.
